Peter E. Swain is an associate in the Real Estate and Corporate Law Groups of Gilchrist & Rutter. Mr. Swain represents entrepreneurs, private equity funds, and publicly-held companies.
Mr. Swain's practice focuses on business and commercial real estate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, and private securities offerings.
Mr. Swain earned his J.D. from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley.
Mr. Swain received his A.B. from Harvard University.

Structuring and forming limited liability companies, limited partnerships and joint ventures to acquire, develop, and exit real estate projects.
Acquisitions of fixed base operators and related ground leases at general aviation airports.
Acquisitions of commercial real estate portfolios and related mortgage, leasehold, mezzanine, and bridge-equity financings.
Sales and purchases of hotels, shopping centers, oil and gas leases, radio stations, automotive-repair franchises, utility companies, electronics manufacturers, and parking garages, including transactions structured as leveraged buy-outs, stock purchases and asset purchases.
Public and private debt and equity offerings as counsel to issuers, investors, underwriters and placement agents, including private placements under Regulation D.
Aircraft purchases, sales, financings, and leasing.
Representation of individuals, as well as public and private entities, with respect to entity formation, licensing, corporate and securities law matters, corporate governance and other board and stockholder affairs.
